The chapter is taken from Neha’s Alarm Clock by the author Girija Rani Asthana. In the story, the Narrator describes how Neha is woken up first by the alarm clock, but still wishes to sleep longer. Soon, the clock breaks, and Neha is happy. The next day she is woken up by chirping birds, and she wishes those birds wouldn’t wake her up. Finally, her mother wakes her up the following day. Her mother explains to her the importance of time as her body also follows a clock that she should not ignore.
