We have to clean our school today. We make teams. Each team has 10 students.
1 ten represents number 10 and 10 students make one team. It indicates that 1 ten represents one team. Step 1: In class 1, there are 53 students. 5 tens and 3 ones represent the number 53. So, in class 1, there are 5 teams, and 3 students are left out.
Step 2: In class 2, there are 42 students. 4 tens and 2 ones represent the number 42. So, in class 2, there are 4 teams, and 2 students are left out.
Step 3: In class 3, there are 35 students. 3 tens and 5 ones represent the number 35. So, in class 3, there are 3 teams, and 5 students are left out.
Step 4: In class 4, there are 54 students. 5 tens and 4 ones represent the number 54. So, in class 4, there are 5 teams and 4 students are left out.
Step 5 : In class 5, there are 26 students. 2 tens and 6 ones represent the number 26. So, in class 5, there are 2 teams and 6 students are left out.
