Jodhpur, September 6, 2025 – Orchids Central School of Excellence, Pal successfully hosted the third edition of its flagship ‘Capital Model United Nations’ conference ‘CAPMUN 3.0’ from August 28 to 30. The Jodhpur event witnessed enthusiastic participation of more than 280 students, along with 20 executive board members, making it one of the most engaging student-led conferences in the region.
Three days of deliberations meant students role-played as delegates and members of the executive board, engaging in debates, negotiations and drafting of resolutions on pressing global and national issues. Committees representing the Lok Sabha reviewed India’s defence capabilities in context of the country’s recent clash with Pakistan, while those constituting the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) discussed non-proliferation and Middle East conflicts. The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) team, on the other hand, focused on the mental health of adolescents. The other groups included UNHRC, COBSE, International Press and MYAS - each voicing their opinions on different global challenges.
Speaking about the event, Manorama Rai - Principal at Orchids Central School of Excellence, Pal Campus - said, “Hosting CAPMUN 3.0 on our campus has been a matter of great pride for us. The conference has once again proven how smart and talented our students are, when provided with the right opportunity. From deliberating on India’s defence system to discussing refugee crisis and mental health issues, the participants’ maturity, teamwork, and diplomatic approach truly stood out. It reflected not only their confidence but also the real-world skills that experiential learning brings.”
According to Secretary-General Nipurn Joshi, coordinating with the committees and guiding delegates through the sessions gave him a firsthand understanding of how dialogue can address conflicts and build consensus, while also showcasing the power of young voices in shaping meaningful solutions. Meanwhile, Director-General Raina Gaur observed that overseeing the smooth execution of the event highlighted the importance of planning, teamwork, and adaptability. Both leaders noted that CAPMUN 3.0 was not just an event but a platform that enabled them and their peers to grow as future leaders.
Among the distinguished guests who attended the conference were Ankit Mishra (Director, Central Academy), Sister Flory (St. Paul School, Pal) and Kavita (MUN Coordinator, APS Jaisalmer), Pallavi Mishra (Academic Advisor, Central Academy BZS). By hosting CAPMUN 3.0, Orchids Central School of Excellence reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a culture of inquiry, dialogue and problem-solving among students, equipping them with the skills to thrive in academics and beyond.
